you don't rock out to the MB2 station?.....sat nights used to be awesoem..... Can't get the signal in River Ryan. UCCB is where it usually turfs. Eskasoni's 94.1FM is an awesome station too.

I used a old Kenwood 40watt am/FM cassette deck, realistic 100 watt 12 band equalizer, 100 watt sparkomatic 3 way speakers a 12 volt motorcycle battery all in a 12"x30" homemade ghetto blaster 1/2" plywood case with a old guitar strap for a shoulder strap. lol it was heavy but man it rocked. ;D them were the days ;D Made this in woodworking shop class back in Hi school Later Darren

In the summer I open my garage door and the neighbor kid's band provides the tunes I'm told they'll take requests, but what they play isn't bad (don't even know it is mind you)

Thanks gang ... this is important! Those Bose things are pricey! In-laws have the Wave radio and it does sound really nice ... A bit of poking around the FS site has me thinking the old school amp/speakers with one of these Dynex dock might be the ticket. 30+year old homemade transistor radio? That's very cool. thx ps - Scott have you ever listened to Baroness or Mastodon? You might like 'em ... more metal than stoner rock though. thx! Mike , Mastadon sounds alot like Neurosis LOL Edit after You tubing Neurosis , it lists Neurosis , with Barones and Mastadon

I had an old JVC getto blaster connected to a PC which is networked to my home media PC in the house with 180GB of music. 8o) just leave winamp on random.. Funny you get some surprises that way. Opened the back of the getto and soldered some extra wires onto it and ran them to my Jeep speakers(the ones that were bouncin around at the valley crawl lol).. Had that for 2yrs..
I just upgraded to my old college bookshelf stereo with REmote! 200 watts or something and the sounds awesome. 1/2 turn on the dial and I can't even hear the grinder goin! 8o).. no complaints from the neighbor either as he's a DJ on the side and plays his tunes out of his Peavey 8 channel amp and SP5 speakers.. lol.. you can hear him down the street sometimes!

Hey op, I have an old receiver ( 7 years old ), digital input is shot, but analog works just fine. It's yours if you want it, no speakers though.

here's a pic of my shop radio. made of a nos grill i got and wanted to find a use for.i mounted a set of 6x9 car speakers in the headlight holes and made covers for them out of coat hangers and shop rags. Then connected them to a set of chopped up set of computer speakers. mounted what was left of the speaker box in the back of the grill (bottom left hand corner in pic) so volume control knob is easy to reach, can plug it into a mp3 player/ipod or just into a radio to boost the volume. works awesome! i1125.photobucket.com/albums/l589/jeep_yj/P1010629.jpg
