Well I tore into the front end this morning and found the following: Pinion bearings (Why are started prepping my spare D30) Both upper ball joints on either side Driver's side wheel bearing Driver's side caliper is seized shimmy shock is half gone tie-rod bent in the center Luckily I bought that burnt YJ for $50 and it's front axle has everything good except for the driver's side U-joint. Axle swap in full swing now... just switched out the bad U-joint with my spare shaft and found a nice shiny wheel unit bearing under all the dirt! Best $50 I ever spent! Done and Done MVI'd today!

Put plugs, wires and a fuel filter on last night. Found (to Andre's prediction), one wire was almost burned thru after sitting on the exhaust manifold. Works awesome now on all 8 cylinders.

It's nice to have a relatively short list on the MJ now: - replace 2 axle joints - replace 2 LCA's - replace exhaust hanger at trans cross member - re-weld rear exhaust hanger - re-repair trail-fixed fuel pump wiringDone! Ready! Not really. Still have to pack up all the tools and parts, arrange the accommodations, and pack all the camping gear. Wagoneer is also ready, finished that Sunday. Still some small things I'd like to get done to both Jeeps but nothing that has to be done. Work one more shift tonight then have all day Wednesday and Thurs to pack/tidy up the Jeeps. can't wait.

Finished fixing a window winder that let go while trail clearing. Picked up my tail pipe that's been laying by the garage and modified it so it fit better, clamped it up. Jeep needs a wash, then pack the tool box tomorrow.

I got the jeep down to Fox Mountain last night, there is a serious gremlin living in it, wasn't smooth at all. Everything feels tight, DS is new, wheel bearings all feel good. Either the T-case is coming apart, or the tranny is unbolting itself. Will have to do some investigation on Thursday at the camp site.
