This is one of those projects that I started a long time ago, but quickly got forgotten. I've just recently revived it, and hope that posting it here will motivate me to finish this time. LOL This contraption is going to hold my license plate, combination plate light/ 3rd brake light, CB whip, a pair of backup lights, my high lift, and a chainsaw holder. First piece bolts to the factory spare tire carrier location on the back door; Spacer so that the high lift base is held away from the body; Main piece; To give you an idea of what it'll look like; Now I need to weld my bolts through the main plate... these are spaced out to fit the high lift post holes... as well I need to weld some tabs for the whip and lights. After that it'll be welding the 3 pieces together and paint.

Intended to do all the welding myself and tried, but wasn't doing very well... I decided to let the pro at it and that I'd need more practice before doing such welds in less then ideal positions. I did burn in the bolts!!! Good thing you can't see that part. LOL What I've got now; Still need to drill for the light, and make up a tab for the whip. Hopefully stop in tomorrow and zap that on... then paint and final install. Thanks Scott!!!

Haven't been slacking off! Made a tab for the whip, as well as a guard for the 3rd brake light. Burned them in this afternoon, and got a coat of primer on there just now; Middle hole is for the back up light; Closer view of whip tap and brake light guard; Tried to get a shot of some welds; Can't wait to have my own shop so I can get more practice in. ;D Saving for the welder now.

Pretty well done... just final install and wiring left; One question though; I had to mount the light upside down and there's a little drain hole that's now facing up... I figured I'd plug it with silicone, and drill one on the bottom. Sound right?

What size hole did you drill for the antenna mount?

Is there going to be anything going on the right hand side of the assembly? Looks like it will put alot of torque on the rack and be hard onthe bolts and tailgate.
Unless the foot of the jack sits on the bumper or something.
Also How far out does it sit. Any chance of hooking it coming down off a ledge? It would do an awful number on the jack and your tailgate.

Haven't test fitted my High Lift, but Scott's Farm All sat on the bumper... I'm thinking of making some kind of support on there that's not too much of a pain for opening the gate.
Other side is/ was for a chainsaw holder I'm going to/ might be making. LOL I've got something in the works that would move the high lift from there, and well, I'll probably just cut off the side peices/ studs.
Antenna mount hole is 1/2"
