I should have used that sarcasm font Agreed on the hobby being expensive, plus all of other life's little gems that pop up. been waiting for an update on this thread for a long while. Very generous of you to pass the CJ along to your brother. I didn't know i had a brother until 3 years ago, and I am 24. It would be a little awkward for me to give my Jeep to him.

Here's some more stuff. Grant steering wheel, had it for,...oh 20 years. never used it. Sydney Canadian Tire. steerwheel quick disco from Olddog i think, last year. right cheap! splined shaft for steering valve input. taken from steering col. in forklift. steering valve from Randy in Truro off a scrap forklift after a flood at his shop. He's in that lake behind the mall kinda, across the bridge. ;D $25 or something silly like that. Thx Randy! double acting cylinder got from Rue a few years a go, the axle in the CJ5 I'm taking back has the matching 5-bolt hi-steering arms he made. It will all just bolt back together. tierods are there, and cylinder mounts. gotta research this guy. don't know its spec's at all. From an old smaller, but not really small, propane forklift. 100A alt. came with the engine. hope that works. P pump. but it looks like the S10's are only 2.8gpm, will prob upgrade to a fullsize chev P pump with higher flow, unless its possible to just swap valving/springs. put some of the front together.

taken from Eaton website, hope this helps! EATON Steering Catalog English, Catalog 9/05/2011 8.6 MB C-STOV-MC001-E1
SERIES 10 (200-XXXX-XXX, 220-XXXX-XXX) Steering Control Units—Series 10 Product Description Eaton’s Series 10 Steering Control Unit (SCU) facilitates hydraulic fluid flow like no other unit on the market. This highly-engineered product is the ultimate SCU for mid-range flow applications. Benefits • The new Series 10 SCU has an unprecedented, continuous pressure rating of 275 bar (4000 psi), making it ideal for heavy-duty equipment, such as construction and agricultural machinery. • Its high-pressure rating reduces overall equipment costs, since smaller cylinder sizes can be assigned into the system. • The new Series 10 incorporates proven Eaton technologies. An internal, balanced architecture and a widewalled sleeve that is 40% thicker than standard designs offer increased performance during transient pressure conditions. Features • Open Center • Power Beyond • Closed Center • Load Sensing • Integral Valves • Q-Amp • 2-Speed • Dual Displacement • Versa Steer • Wide Angle • Cylinder Damping Applications • Construction Machinery • Agriculture Machinery • Heavy-Duty Equipment • Marine • Forestry Machinery • Mining Equipment SPECIFICATIONS Max. My apt reno is coming to an end in the next couple months, if you want help with the 4.3 wiring I should be available about that time.
What are you using for a fuel pump?

Hey Dan, got to looking at the Eaton stuff, the unit pictured is a Series 4. 10 looks similar, but is bigger.
Should be suitable for 4x4 purposes. 1800psi max, well over what the P pump can supply, and 4Gpm max, again, over the max volume the P pump can supply.
The concern will now be if it has enough displacement to move the cylinder at a half decent rate. I'm not too worried.
Hawkes - fuel pump - I have the S10 unit and a plastic racer cell.

Jan, you sure it's a series 4? the first 3 of the model number (201) tell the model number. the (13 6) on the top row is the year it was manufactured. if I'm wrong, that's fine.
Also, if you want 100% certainty, call TRC hydraulics, they are the Eaton dealer, and can ID anything as long as you have tha tmodel number (201 1017 004).
