Picked up a new drill for the shop , my old one is huge , heavy and the batteries are shot And there was a special on , if you bought any Ridgid battery powered tool , you got a free battery ( $80 value ) You can see the huge difference

I've got the same drill, love it. Batteries charge SUPER fast, last a long time, and hold a charge for months.

Lithium is the way to go, lighter, more powerful, last longer, charge faster, awesome - I bought a small 12v for odd jobs around the house and it'll drive 3 1/2" screws no problem

Its been a while since I updated my shop thread . I picked up a much needed shop tool , a torch I needed to make a rack for the hose , I had a piece of 3 ft X 2 ft 1/4 plate and 5 ft of 2X2 square tubing My bottles sitting in the corner Its a Victor torch My rack sitting in place , I welded some rod on the rack to hang the hose , sparkers etc . I have 50 ft and another 25 ft section to add on I welded on a hanger for the torch head I have to pick up some torch tips and a set of hose connects to put on the other 25 ft of hose

Yeah really want the torches on this years list.So nice to cut rearends off a parts jeep in no time flat or anything else before it goes to the crusher.Just a pain in the ass using a recip saw and grinders to do the same work! I've cranked up the 220 Mig and laid a bead to create heat before to remove seized bolts etc,it works but not what its intended for and the torches are much nicer.....

Anyone working in Scott's shop - Can I use an 18mm socket? Scott - Sure it's in the socket drawer ....Looks at box and scratches head.... Labels? Colour coded dots? Crayon? haha ;D ;D Kidding! really nice! and great price. You can put the tools that you don't want neighbors borrowing in the top drawer!

You can put the tools that you don't want neighbors borrowing in the top drawer! Unless they are taller than him !! I would probably need 2 crates ...I'm short too

Yup, same as mine. You got some different size drawers. That cabinet will last a lifetime and beyond.
Sweet score on price. Its worth a LOT more new. And as well built as any more well known brand name.

I thought it would be a good idea to paint the new box , so I pulled of the drawer pulls Sanded and primed the box And painted it blue I took off the crappy plastic / metal top piece from the drawer pulls , cleaned them up and painted them metallic satin nickel I am pretty happy with the way it turned out
