Great stuff-good to see another Cherokee NOT hit the scrap yard ;D I was thinking the same thing. There are many others in better shape not being saved. Good on you to bring this one back to life! Rob D

almost finished up the back..... then thot i should stiffen up the area in the back part of the frame that was a little weak where the gas filler hose goes threw not so good of a welding job under here, was all crunched up and the nossle was full of slag and the gas wasnt getting out very good, so i stopped to clean it and didnt quite finish the welding there yet lol.....i get to soon I decided to take a break from the welding and start installing my lift, especially since my frame rails are open and I was pretty sure i was going to need to get into them not off to a great start..... had to cut the lower shock mount bolts to get the shocks off because they were soooooo rusted a lot more to come , have just realised I am missing some photos :S

Frig, that looks a hell of a lot better than my first floor job. You are doing a great job!
I'm impressed that you can see the whole project are are taking steps in order to reduce further work, like getting into the lift before you close in the frame.

Thanks Tony! I will keep that in mind! I am way past that point now I am trying not to have to get into rebuilding more things at the moment, welding the stud in was simple, so when or if the mount breaks or gets in the way I will do that and I am sure u will get a chance to winch me out hopefully soon! That's why I don't want to rebuild more then I have too! Jan, thanks so much! As for the seeing the whole project I guess I just actually think sometimes! Lol lol welding is great meditation gives me lots of time to think! Hopefully getting back to the floor goes a little smoother now that I have had the break and not worry about covering things up I need to get to! I just don't have a clue what I'm doing so I guess its a work of art free from the mind of Tracey! Lol

I just don't have a clue what I'm doing.
Looks like you know allot more then you are giving yourself credit for. I think you are doing amighty fine good job, I done about the same amount of work on the Cherokee Chief when I saved it from the bone yard so I realize how much time and work your involved in so Like I said before, have fun and enjoy. 2 thumbs up Darren

I'm in the same boat as you, I just go with it, I never truely know quite what I am supposed to be doing, but I give it a try, and hope for the best. I have surprised myself too many times to count, with my ability to do things. you're doing a great job, if you continue to take pride in your work, you will have a wonderful (and solid) rig in no time.
