Haven't broke a front joint since 2007 Jam, so I think I'll keep the 30 and 44. Putting 2.5" Rough Country springs in. I'd like to build a buggy for runs like the Valley Crawl. I think that you should build a buggy.I think it would be interesting to see what you would come up with. Rue

With lots of healing hands at the meeting here sunday, I got the body lifted off! Thanks again everyone. Frame rails only have surface rust, still solid but bent (it had been in a couple accidents before I got it). Driver's side rail is the worst, but it will get straightened, and the whole frame is getting boxed in. Without the body, it's all engine! Next will be to strip it down to the bare frame. If I build a buggy, I plan for it to be diesel powered, 3-53 Detroit would sound good! ;D

it really would fawking awesome with a 4-53, but they weight near 1,200 lb's, and don't offer that much more power than even a 4 litre. they produced between 103 and 130 HP. they didn't produce that much torque compared to newer diesels, because of their higher RPM operating window.
I'd love to see it, cuz I love diesels, hell, I'll volunteer to tune it for you if you want, but it won't work as well as the small block
