I second that vote. Everything else is alot of work for no gain. It would look weird with the bumpers not painted green.

Paint the bumpers. Tape off the "Vintage" sticker though.

hmmm... I could paint the rear swing out easy enough... but the front is more of a winch plate connected to the frame... might be a bit tricky... will have to look at it. edit: If you look at this pic... I could just paint the front of the bumper..the winch plate and around the edge of the spring bracket... I have to paint the winch anyway...

ROFL... I had to google that term... haven't heard it before.
You are correct... I have other things to do on the jeep of more importance... Tonight will be the last of the painting for sure... but I do like the input... it helps see the big picture.

Thanks for the help/comments everyone... it is appreciated. I finished up the painting last night... (as much as I am doing at this point) I can bare to look at another fuzzy camera phone pic in the garage... so when I roll it out I will take a few with a proper camera. At this point I am moving on to the the following... in no particular order: 1. Hydro clutch (thx to hawkes I think I have this worked out) 2. Power brakes maybe... (I have the booster but space is a concern though) 3. Need to mount the 'ID tags' on the dash (will post pics later) 4. Replace the steering rod, tie rod and drag link (nothing wrong with them...just beefy upgrade maybe) 5. 2 new 33x10.5 BFG's... old style if I can find them... if not 2 KM2's (will have a couple 33x9.5x15's for spares if people need them... probably in January) 6. Fix the solenoids on the winch... assuming that's what is wrong. 7. Patch small hole in the soft top... 8. Replace a bunch of rusted nuts/bolts 9. ? So far I am having fun with the project... It is perfectly drivable at this point... most of that list is stuff i 'want' to do...

Bill I thought of that The clutch master can go on the inside and face the other direction.. found a post on the OLD CJ Forum you can see it in the pic below... I probably won't bother with the booster... but we will see how idle my hands get. btw that guy has a wicked interior
