I've got an 84 front, a wide V6 rear, and a skinny rear. 4.30's
my dirty secret is that the T18 bellhousing is cracked, and has a stripped hole. so its got like 2.5 bolts holding it together. lots of work to do b4 getting into suspension.
the exaust manifolds and exaust has to be done too. can't find a Y-pipe yet.

time for another update of the week's work. getting there with Scott's help. I got the drivers floor finish-welded in thru my workweek. came out great. again, no real loss of footspace if you wanted to do this to a driver. what's left of the tub. shed 200lbs of rust. then i started getting after the exaust manifolds. had some i saved from long ago, and some on a free motor i've been sitting on. drilling and tapping out the busted flange studs. need to get rid of those bolt things in the ports. they will leak! smog crap. this would have let exaust gas vent out of the manifold. cut 'em off, weld 'em up. leave the steel fitting in there so you can MIG weld to it. the cast manifold won't like the MIG, doesn't stick. All sealed up. peer pressure from the BORED guys makes me leave the burrito warmer heat collector in place. bolted up. had all the rigth bolts and everything off that spare motor. glad i have room to store junk. this is neat. need an AN6 fitting for the fuel cell. AN fittings use 37deg sealing surface. so do JIC hydraulic fittings. so i turned down a hyd. hose fitting, cut the crush sleeve off where the hose would be captured, and was left with a hose barb for the fuel line. This saved me about $50 in aluminum andonized racer fittings. Ray at CVO hooked me up with a used fuel cell. I owe him one!! Thanks a ton Ray, this really really helped me out. and it fit fawking perfect in the old skid!! i did a little maintenance to the cell, changed some fittings around, checked out the foam for breakdwon and re-routed the pick-up line. and epoxied a hole. should work great. me and Scott put this in yesterday. little vent there too. its in the same spot as the gastank, but raised a touch over stock. this is temporary for the topless run. so by this point, half drunk and smoke in my eyes, i added a coffee table as i was confused between my renovating duties in the house, and the Jeep in the shop. No need to tell me its ugly, i'm well aware. It needs to be high because the tiresflex and rub the frame and where the tub used to be, its narrow-trac remember. just needed somewhere to put some crap for topless run, didn't want to spend the time on something i'm gonna rip off again in two weeks. so feel free to make fun. UGLY! got a line on some seats, but having a bit of truoble getting exaust. exaust shops just want to you to bring it in, while i just want to see thier stockroom. hasn't been working out so far. i need a V8 headpipe.
