Rack looks good, nice and low.
tailpipe looks 100% better too, now that you pointed it out.
Maybe the temp sensor is bad?

Jan I wish it was that easy. I really like the way the rack fits, as you said nice and low.

Man this thing is being a PITA. So came back from hemi house, the ecm is reading rich but the O2 is reading lean? WTF. So I decide if i am going to figure this out I need my own software to read the BLM in the fuel table and all sensors. I oder a cable to go from ODB1 ALDL plug to my laptops USB, complete with drivers $70. Run my 1st test sure enough, O2 is reading maximum voltage at sensor wire of 1.02 all the time no change. Something is wrong!!!! Manually check O2 sensor, it is sending 12 volts into the signal wire . I replace the brand new O2 sensor and run another test. Bam she is way lean, recording BLM's 140-172 which is max. Dangerously lean. Well after speaking with Troy at Howell, he thinks there "AMC HO chip" is just not enough fuel for the motor I built. To try to prove his theory and take away any mechanical issues, such as too long of a pushrod(holding valve open) or internal vacuum leak, I took a spare temp sensor, plugged it into the harness and tied it away from the engine to see if it was possible to richen it up enough (to emulate cold start and a rich mixture). Sure enough the Air/ fuel ratio gauge is reading stoich most of the time. Took it for a drive no more stumble or hesitation. I'll plug the laptop in today and confirm. I'll be honest, I was getting worried there for a while. On another note the graphic package is done and will be on soon , stay tuned.

Thanks guys, but don't kid yourself this took me about 4 weeks, waiting for parts, research online, talking to numerous "Experts". Thank goodness it was an inexpensive fix.

Been a while lots to update, trying to get it ready to tow 7000lbs 14hrs. Lots of loose ends to be taken care of. First, tuning. On my third chip from Howell, still lean at any RPM above 1400 under load. AFR at 19/20-1. New one should be here next week, there estimate biased on fuel needs is over 330HP Wohoo The brains of the operation New chip In the mean time, I had to get her ready for our local car show "Speed Sport". Which means I need the graphic package done. My buddy Bill Keys at Massive graphics replicating the classic southwestern "Cherokee Chief" badging with a twist And the rear Ready for the trip to Moncton Here we are set up at the show, she was a big hit The Creepy grill and lights is confusing every one, they think she is from the early 70's ;D Back to getting her ready to tow. She had a large tranny cooler stock, but needed a temp gauge and air bags to level the load. Figured on 1000lbs of cargo and 600lbs tongue weight from the car hauler. The bags, are good for 100lbs, they will lift the waggy rear 4" unloaded. Hoping it's enough Gauges and switches On your left is an air up momentary rocker then manual blead off. Eventually I will have full OBA with tanks and the ability to run air tools. I was lucky, the York came as OE on the Wag, man it airs up the bags in seconds She is almost ready, on to the NAV102 unit I have been waiting for since December. This ia about all I can show you as the Canadian maps are somehow missing from the 2G SD card, It is supposed to come loaded with US, Canada, UK and Mexico? Almost ready for Jam, can't wait

Oh yeah, that stripe is the bomb! Looks wicked at the show, nothing else like that there.
Is the tent a regular thing, or just for the show?
Best of luck with the new tune! that's gotta be getting frustrating. Good news on the Hp #'s tho.

Ya the chip thing is getting old, my buddy Frank has the same system and we are installing a very modified 401. Howell feel it should be well over 400HP, I did the same head work to his soooo, we may buy the hardware and software to burn and tune our own chips.
