I have 36's, with no trimming at all. The tires hit the fenders a little when stuffed but not much, just enough that the fenders can flex out of the way. Depending on your lift, you might not have to go to flat fenders to fit bigger than 35's.

Dave, I have the same kit on mine, and I'm not rubbing with my 35's. Bumpstops are doing their job

I say go 35s. You shouldn't have any problem running them with that size lift and factory flares. Chopping factory flares buys you another 2-3" of room in the wheel well. You would be able to fit 37s if you wanted to.

well..it's been rather quiet on here so i thought i would post some more of my recent workings... picked myself up a nice little bumper then stuffed a 9500lbs winch to fill the massive hole in the middle. wasn't to big on the wiring though, so i thought i would do it a favor and run some new wires not 100% done yet...still have some more wiring to change and run the switch inside the jeep. but it currently works....just incase lol

Looks good. You gonna put the "D" rings on the sides?

Looks good. You gonna put the "D" rings on the sides? Looks nice! and x2 for D rings. Rugged Ridge makes a pretty beefy set you can buy individually and use your existing bolt holes. For that matter, your stock tow hooks could go on in the meantime.
