finally got a chance to finish up my arms and get them in... here's the stockers.. something just doesn't look right here.... must be the camera angle lol here's it installed much better...and much stronger a little flex test...nothing big, hill was about 2 ft high i will say, these metalcloak joints are well worth the money so far, handleing is 100% better, rides smoother, and going up that spot to test the flex, no effort, no binding..just crawl up it like it wasn't even there. before when i tried the same spot i had to use a little gas to get up it as you could feel the suspension not wanting to flex like that....now to just finish the other 3 sets of arms lol

with the impending snow storm we received though i would add to my front bumper...picked up some 5/8 shackels and some 1/4" plate and made me some nice front tow points. then since i was already spraying some textured powder coat, made almost a near perfect match to what's currently on the bumper..just my work is better lol

copy-cat. I did the shackles first......... looks good! take some heater hose sections like 1" long, cut a slit in them, and put them on either side of each shackle, wrap with electrical tape. This will keep them from jingling and driving you crazy.

never thought of that...i was just going to get some plasti-dip and put some on the lower part of the shackle...

well...figured since i did the lower rears already, might as well do some fronts. here's a rough start, it's 2" square 1/4" wall tubing with some nice metal cloak joints picking up the U-bolt nuts from parts for trucks tomorrow on my way to the city and hopefully have these welded and powder coated in time for this weekend's run.

well...been a little busy and havn't had a chance to update this...but the front lowers are done! here they are sitting on the bench freshly welded...could still feel the heat 4 inch's away lol all sandblasted and ready for a nice thick coat of a metallic gunmetal powder coat. all coated up and ready to be installed. will post pics of them installed shortly after i take some, but i did have them out on the troops run and they worked perfect.

thought i'd give another post...loving these metalcloak joints. the handling and flexibility of the jeep has improved 10 times...with that i thought it was about time to repair my leaking tail end lol. so here's the replacement, a nice new body armor differential cover (what were you expecting me to say?? lol) insane thickness...a good 1/4" thick...don't think i have to worry about it breaking anytime soon lol another view showing the thickness of the flange. all installed and topped off with some royal purple gear oil. Was a great unit. built super strong (weighs a good 10-15 lbs lol) includes all new mounting hardware that also have lock washers to help keep them in place. (wish it came with the allen key for those, but what can ya do lol) and it came with a allen key to remove the fill plug.

feel like it's been forever since i posted much.... but i can finally say i've finished the front control arms for my jeep!! stock versus tri county kustomz lol. made from 1.5" square tube with 3/16" wall and of course, metalcloak joints lol drivers side tucked in nicely and here's the passenger side another view...this time promoting the nice bilstien shocks all the way around the jeep as well lol. all in all, they swapped out nicely. but i'd like to slap the engineer who put that frame end shock bolt in like that....those of us who have swapped out uper front control arms in a JK know what i mean. lol....but you have to cut the bolt because the exhaust prevents you from taking it out.
