looks like a good setup, I agree that the winch line angle will be fine. I do have to wonder what is supporting the bracket from rolling back though. I'll hvae to get some photos of our plow setup so you have some competition

those fisher's should have a spot to pin it, straight, or angled either way... like everyone else says. a brack back off that push frame wouldn't be a bad thing... check out www.plowsite.com form more tips or ideas

Again the pic is decieving. The mount goes back on the frame... oh I'd say 10". The close up pic of it was just durring instal and all the bolts weren't on yet. I'll try to get a side on pic to show this and cable angle. And yes the blade does angle. It's a simple pull pin. I've got a system down where I start straight, angle for a bit, then end straight. Plowed last night after work. Pulled the shoes now that there's a solid base. About 3" from the night before. Took me about 10min... then got stuck in the neighbor's ditch... got pulled out by a DOT plow truck. Nothing unusual. LOL

Yeah it's all fine , i just thought an a frame to lift up in a straighter line might help with the winch draw. I have seen a few mounts made like yours g and will be fine for your own driveway , in the pic you just can only see one bolt .

Check in the Jeep section can't say i've ever ventured passed the ford section lol 10" still isn't a great distance. our f-250 goes back atleast 16" the brace is almost centered over the axle. but then again. if your only doing your own drive, and not really pushing too hard you should be fine...... might not stand the 1 1/4 miles of woods road i plow

so instead of chain for next season, put a mini truss across with a place to hook the d-ring onto........ very simple and effective setup. ill be monitoring yours for durability!
Im hoping to find same type blade for the YJ sometime this year for next season. mainly to smash out the end of driveway after the plow has gone by and then frozen solid. Especially when im gone to sea!

I do plan to go over it once the season's done... cut off un-needed brackets, paint, possibly re-skin the front, or just cover with puck board.... and yeah, might change that setup. I think you'll find that this type of setup is no good for hard packed or frozen piles of snow... it just trips, and rides on top. You gotta get out and get 'er dun toot suite. Can't wait to see Aiden on 6 phone books with blocks on the pedals plowing the driveway!

The tripping of the edge , might be from the way the plow sits on the ground ( leaned back , or forward ) Of course if the blade is not angled , it will trip way more

Yeah, that had to be a compromise... too steep and I though it would dig in too agressive, and too low my mount would hit eveything. It's 18" down from the top of the frame. I've only had it trip twice... once trying to push a pile of frozen sand (3rd pic up) and once trying to move a pile the city plow left on our cul-de-sac. Not sure how long it had been there.
The top of my shoes cought the first time she tripped. I set them lower so that they'd clear, then removed them afterwards. I might cut them down after the season, or just run them lower next year.
