I didn't have the rear bolt any farther back on the frame on the CJ than you do, and I never had a problem. Plowed with it for several years and it took some pretty hard hits.

So when you thought it would fail you didn't say anything, but now that's it's worked for a while you want to tell me it's not going to work. LOL haha, no! I didn't want to come off as being all negative, i think it great and want to make one too. So I keep looking at it and think it would be more better with a brace. This is coming from the guy who didn't know they didn't all have downpressure, so take it for what its worth. ;D Seriously I'll have a look. I know it wouldn't be as effective as a brace, but I was thinking about a piece of angle clamped to the bottom of the frame, then welded to the mount's plate. That way the rotaional force would be pushing on the bottom of the frame instead of all being on the bolt heads. That is exactly what I meant.

Well she was tested last night. With all this snow the driveway was getting narrower, so I decided to try to widen.
... well I forgot Leigh had put a log down to try and keep contractors from driving over my septic bed. It was parallel with the driveway, so going by caught the edge of it. Probably went from a jogging pace to dead stop instantly. No damage.
