it blows my mind that in 60 years, provided i'll live that much longer, i'll be able to look back on a basic version of my life story via the internet. Hell, I'll likely even be able to read this post. I am completely weirded out right now.

Len picked up one of Jan's TJ bumper kits , I welded it and grinded everything smooth I had to drill out 3 of the bumper / tow hook nuts and weld in new ones , also had to cut off the old bumper as it was welded on Len putting in the winch , for mock-up of the hawse fairlead Welded on the fairlead bracket Jan is bending up a big honk'n stinger for Len , also have to mock up all the light tabs , then Len can paint it

It was a HUGE pain in the ass to cut that bumper off. It was welded on there, but good. Scott was right on the ball and ground down the welds on the bumper while I was cutting the old one off. Big grinding dust cloud by the time we were done.

That worked out well. I had never totally realized how much assembly and disassembly and assembly and disassembly there is involved in custom fab work. Thanks to Jan for some super-speedy turnaround on the stinger (needed to be bolt-on for the powdercoat) and of course to Scott for the welding and shop time. She will be powdercoated and all hooked up next weekend, just in time for the topless run.
Thanks also to David for the great pricing and flexibility and to Mark for getting the parts there and back.
Finish pix to follow next week.
