Simply an opinion (and being a non-club member thus far means it counts for little, if anything) but I think there should be some lower rates for those who have to arrive Saturday, OR are simply passengers. Even more so for your trail guides...allowing a trail guide a free passenger would be a nice step. Extra hands to help repair/UN-stuck/spot and such. Having a "passenger pass" might mean when you go for food, it cost $5/plate....seeing as the food is the only potential extra cost passengers might cause. As I say, just opinions, nothing more. If I become a member, I'll need to upgrade these to "suggestions"

If I become a member, I'll need to upgrade these to "suggestions" Its a valid thought, for sure. I thought the same thing until I thought more about it. Think of it this way, you are paying to attend the event, not drive a jeep there. Everyone in attendance pays for a ticket to take part in the weekend. Insurance is costly for events, and the insurance isn't specifically for vehicles, it is for people there as well. I mean if you were spotting or watching on the trail and a Jeep happened to roll over on you, and someone in your family wanted to sue the club for neglect or something a long those lines...They would need a way to cover that. There is also an option to opt out of not getting the meal plan. So then what you are paying for is your share of the insurance costs to be there, as well as what it costs to put on such an event. Which still isn't fully covered by people in attendance, there are also sponsors which have contributed to the event as well.
