It was a special moment and we are glad we were there for it. Fine gestures by all involved.

All I can say is WOW...from Andre acquiring Tia's old rig and gearing it up to her trail standards with help from other jeepers, to raffling it off, Kevin winning it and giving it to Beth (you are a class act brother), Luc giving Beth the winch he just won, and Beth taking it through the mudpit....WOW...truly an emotional evening that I will never forget, and just another example of why I am truly proud to be associated with all of you...certainly gives new meaning to IAJTYWU.

NSJC is constantly surprising me with the amount of help, generosity and thoughtfulness that everyone shows!! I dont even really know what to say other then I am glad to have you all in my life! Once it was explained whose Jeep it was, I was the exact same way all I could hope for was that it would get to someone who really should have it! Simply amazing!!

This was definitely an emotional moment for sure! Big wow! .... I didn't have the privilege of knowing Tia, but have heard lots of wonderful things about her from so many of you... ...Wonderful thing that Andre did and very selfless of Kevin to give Beth the key! Great bunch of people we have here!... I look forward to wheeling with you Beth

I have never seen such generosity in a group of people. I missed that beth was given the Jeep,,cause I had stepped away for a moment(had something in my eye,,,,)
What a surprise to see her in the mud pit and than learn Kev had given it to her,,wow.
Andre, Kev and Luc,,wow hats off boy's, I am proud to be associated with you.
Beth hope you have fun and we get to do some trails.

It is refreshing to see the love and honour in this club and I am more than proud to be associated with you all. The jeep is totally where she belongs and I know Beth is gonna put her through her paces Thank you Andre, APJs crew and Kevin for reminding us all that there is so much good in this world if we just open our eyes.

Although I never had the pleasure of knowing Tia, I have heard her story told over the few years I've been in the club, and I wish I had brought Nicky's camera Saturday to video John's eloquent story of her passion for life and the sport of Jeeping...that was beautifully spoken! I did have the pleasure of riding in the ZJ from the campground to the start of Tia's Trail, though, and get a few shots of John wheeling it like it was meant to be, and some pics of the events that followed...here are just a few highlights for now... All prettied up and ready for the trails...again. Looks awesome! A little rain isn't dampening anyone's spirit on this ride! The plaque in Tia's memory on the trail... John putting it through it's paces...getting it good and dirty...as it was meant to be... John telling her story. I can't imagine anyone in that tent not having a tear in their eye... The unveiling... The draw... Coming up to collect the prize... I just couldn't focus fast enough to get him presenting her the key, but here's the aftermath...what a class act! Congratulations, Beth! John, Beth & Andre... The crew that made this happen...I'm afraid I don't know all your names, but I'm honored to have been able to capture this moment...kudos to you all! I say this shot pretty much speaks for itself... ...and so does this one... Uploaded with ImageShack.usMy apologies that the last few shots aren't great (it was getting dark, things were moving pretty fast and I didn't have my tripod), but hopefully Nicky will be able to do a little editing to sharpen them up a little...at least you get to see some of the event. The whole Jamboree was a great new experience for us, and Saturday night's culmination makes us proud to be members of this organization! We were honored to be a part of it as photographers (thank you, Lance, for thinking of us!) and hope we can be a part of it again in the future! Keep checking occasionally for more pics...I have about 785 shots on Saturday, probably as many on Friday, plus the bunch that Nicky got on The Crusher and around the campground on Friday...there's a lot to go through, but we'll get through it!

Been along time since I have been on the board...
Tia came into our lives when the club was getting "old" , but what she did in the year and a bit that I knew her was nothing less then amazing ! She had this way of bringing all the different groups together and making us feel like one big family . It did not matter what was going on in your life at that time, if she showed up you were going wheeling , possibly going clubbing or a the least you were grabbing a coffee but you were not going to just sit on your ass and do nothing !
For those of you who dont know I was a member of The Kinsmen Club Of Sackville for 10 years before I met Tia . Kinsmen clubs of Canada have been raising money for Cystic Fibrosis for over 45 years and as part of this club I had been to many conventions and been on many committees raising money and learning about CF. Tia put a face on CF for me and changed how I look at life ! I never heard her bitch about her condition ever, not once . I remember the day she found out she had diabetes , she showed up at the shop with her new kit of drugs and needles . Im feeling so bad for her but all she does is laugh and says she just happy to be alive !
It was an honour to be part of what happened this weekend past, and I thank all who helped us make this happen . When you think your life is the shits ...... think of those who have travelled harder paths then yours .
Kevin , you are a class act ... proud to know you

Kevin , you are a class act ... proud to know you Andre R Simons Jesus man...don't take so long between posts next time. You are so right about her bringing different groups together. After all that happened last weekend I found myself thinking back to all the wheeling we did during that time. Obviously I was quite a bit older than her but there was always a pm in my inbox or a post on the board with an invitation to attend numerous outings both wheeling oriented and not. The few that I will always remember are her B'Day party at her parents that debuted the Red Bull tent, running Victoria's Secret trail (now named Tia's trail), and using my CAA a couple times to get her Jeep home....one being from Myra road where we have her memorial run every year on boxing day (she sure liked the water...lol). Like you said Andre she put a face to the disease. I actually got a call last year from one of the nursing units asking if I could help them renovate a room specifically for CF patients and their families. Of course I went right up and the nurse I met remembered Tia and asked me if I had a Jeep too. I couldn't believe that 4 years later she would remember Tia was into Jeeps...shows she had an affect on everyone she met. Anyway, even though I didn't have much money in my budget to do things like this and the foundation usually funds these types of reno's there was no way that this room for CF patients wasn't getting renovated. As a result of me knowing her personally and being in the position I was I know that others suffering from CF are benefitting from Tia and my relationship with her whether they know it or not.
