I'd like to say thanks to the jam organizers.
This was my first NS jeep jam and I had a blast.
The event was really well organized, the trails were great and the trail guides were really good as well...thanks to Paul Hawks (and others)for helping reseat my tire on The Crusher.
I mainly wanted to say I was grateful for walk in registration this year. I had heard that it may not be an option in the future. Without late registration, I wouldn't have been able to make it. Lots of people have scheduling issues that makes it hard to commit earlier, I only figured out I could go on wedsday night.
I know a few other folks who would have gone had they had known about walk-ins.
Even without the meal plan, I still purchased food from the canteen....which worked out well for me.
Please keep late registration an option...even if in the future you have to charge extra for it.

Heard similar comments being grateful for late registration from participants, and also heard comments from organizers it was difficult to manage.
I was pleased with the meal-package delete option.
I was pleased to have 3 firepits avail and the 'Jam wood" split up amongst the pits.
Rockpile in back of mudpit was fun, glad to see that there. Timing was same as RTI ramp, so it kinda didn't get anyone over there. RTI is popular! Maybe adust the timing a bit.
Perhaps in case feathers were ruffled, I'll throw out this explaination for why a couple of us were on those rocks before it 'opened'. I saw the rocks first. then I saw the campground machine operator guy moving them around. he said try it out, see if its any good. I went and grabbed a couple of buddies, and tried it out. it was fun. Then Jam organizers said we were not supposed to be on the rocks, so we left after recovering a stuck vehicle. then the barrels were placed around the area.
From my perspective, there was no way of us knowing not to be on the rocks. we were literally invited to try it out. Just a little issue, but I wanted to explain our intent, in case that info wasn't known to all. I personally explained to a couple of Jam people.
We weren't ignoring the rules, we were unaware and the area was wide open. I hope - no harm, no foul. And we'll block it off next year maybe on Wed when some of us arrive early. We did not mean to cause a fuss, at all.

That was a fun trail repair. I was glad to see you made it out for Jam, see u next year! Aaron

We did not mean to cause a fuss, at all. No harm was done and nobody was mad about it , the sole reason for the barrels was safety, the rock are on the camp-ground spotters are required. We will be looking at timings as the rocks are new, thanks for all the great comments.

The dance idea sounds good. Also if we ALL camped down in the lower Field next to the tent it would also draw people together. Its all spread out between the 2 Fields. There is more than enough room. and its non serviced sites there as well. Seems that its filling up the last couple of years anyways. Next year that's where I think I will be set up.

It used to be that the majority of folks camped up in the field and there were just a few camper-trailers parked down below. We first had our pop-up camper at Jamboree in 2009 and that year there were maybe 4-5 campers set up in the serviced sites. Seems a lot of us have campers now!
