That's how it looked when I took it out. Maybe go to the linkage? That's where most of the problems are usually at

Dave, of course it was the linkage. The adjusting bolt was two threads away from falling out. Wasn't tight. Fixed now. THANKS. hey Scott, I really appreciate the effort this week on my Jeep. This thing works perfectly.

Delivery from Currie arrived today. One week via US Postal Service, then hand off to Canada Post at the border (from Corona California). Zero duty. Bonus. I ordered a shirt too but it must have been unavailable. I see my visa was only charged the price on the website for this part...no shipping. Free stickers. Thanks Currie, you rock! from their website- "Description: This is the specially machined Johnny Joint® rod end out of our CE-9102K front end housing kit. This joint's outer shell is machined to 1.795" o.d. with a flanged edge and is designed to be driven into the bushing bore on the gear case casting side of the TJ/LJ/XJ/MJ Dana 30 or 44 frontend housings to replace the stock rubber bushing. Features a 1/2" thru bolt hole and includes a 1/2" greasable bolt."

jeez, lots of stickers!
Don't be surprized to get a bill for brokerage later in the week. Some companies now offer 'all in one' shipping prices, some don't.
It is rant inducing to get that bill. ;D

rant inducing... yeah... I would be surprised to get a bill later from Canada Post or US Postal, but these are strange days. It could happen.
I will leave a bunch of stickers at Scott's to hand out to people with fancy tool boxes and shop doors with stickers on them. I only want a couple small ones for the Jeep.

I called the order in, don't use the website. After you give them the part numbers you want, tell them you want it shipped US Postal Service and that you know it will take longer. They do not have a problem doing that.
It arrived in my mailbox today. One week. I didn't have to sign for it, small box. I got a tracking number from USPS the day it was sent. At the border, they hand off to Canada Post. Until now, many parcels shipped that way have had no or very little duty charged.
My visa was billed 49.95 total. I just looked again and no other entity has billed my card, yet. We will see. They may have not charged me shipping because I ordered a t-shirt that it turns out they didn't have. The invoice says out of stock, so that may have been their way of saying sorry about that. I offered to pay for two stickers when I called the order in but they gave them to me N/C and sent a bunch of them. Which is very cool.
part number ce-9112m2. be sure to get the one with the 1/2" bolt.
good luck.

Sorry to take this offtopc, but regarding duty and brokerage - duty is paid for stuff that may not have been made in usa. free trade vs offshore manufacturing stuff. Currie is made in usa, so no duty. brokerage is paying for paperwork to cross the border. its basically a service charge. Not saying it will happen, hope it doesn't, but it might.

Just an FYI, Peck's is a Currie dealer, might even have this joint in stock, I know Tracy used to have them.
Usually Canada Post bills you when you pick up your parcel. I had to pay on the last USA made item I got sent through them.

Wasn't so much for you, but general info seeing people are often looking for Currie.
I think the Metal Cloak joints have been selling more lately, but they don't have a joint to fit like this one. I could machine their weld on one to fit though.

I deleted my post because I didn't want to seem like I was making a complaint... it's an oddball part, specific to one purpose really. Trying a 3 link. Shops order by the pallet to get their discounts, I reckon. and that's all cool and understood. My little order was best served by going direct. I think Tracy told me to do that anyway but I wanted to support a local shop. It was a while ago..I forget.
It's interesting to see the rise of Metal Cloak among the fab suppliers. Never heard of them a year ago. The CA ends I've seen at Pecks are cool. Apparently they retro-fit into RC arms. You may see some on mine if so.
