Ah, then yes! A hopheaded brewnoser to be exact. Been brewing since before it was legal for me to be brewing. My first was a spruce beer that was undrinkable.

Beer is a great product when you throw it in a still and make Whisky with it. Beyond that Beer is for Kids Back on topic, Did you get you slab poured?

That looks like a great project. As a designer, I am wondering if you looked at using a frost wall and footings instead of an engineered slab. Did you also choose to have the 2 posts and beam instead of a wide open shop? A 12" (@16"o/c) open web floor truss will eliminate the need for the posts and provide 40 lb live load and 15 lb dead load for your loft space (same as a living room). Just curious.

I went with an engineered slab because I'd thought it'd be less labour than building frost walls, since I'm doing it myself. But looking back, it probably wouldn't have been much of a difference.
As for the jack posts; I'm still not 100% on using them and would love to have a wide open shop. I was kind of thinking building balloon-type construction, and I wasn't sure if it was possible to use the manufactured floor truss on 12' walls. Suggestions?

Stopped by today on my way back from Economy, left a couple of cards stuck in the gate to the deck. The dogs seemed happy to see me. If you have any questions or ideas you'd like to bounce off me, feel free. Always glad to help.
