Could have been the rate of placing or the force coming off the chute ( Assuming you didn't pump it.)

Back at the garage build today..... 2x6 studs notched for the 2nd story floor ribbon. 2-2x12 header over a 8x10 bay door

Maybe he's framing it in later? Hope there is one going in.
Looks great! The taller walls are going to be nice for lighting.

looking forward to seeing what you are doing with those notches. That was popular back in the days of balloon framing. I had no idea it was still allowed. That leaves a 3 foot knee wall upstairs?

Yup, there's going to be 2 man doors; one on the north (facing the bay door from outside, north is the right side) wall near the front, and a second will go upstairs at the gable end opposite the bay door. Dad has been here the past couple of days helping me. I figured I'd put him to better use doing stuff like standing walls and setting the center beam rather than building door frames.
