Just some pics from what I've been doing for stepson last month or so.Bought this 2000XJ in June in Chester for $1500,came from BC only been here a couple years.Layed under this the night we went to look at and said to my self wow!The floor under this still has the white paint on all of it.Nicest XJ I ve see in this shape here anyway.Rockers SOLID also.Had a rebuilt title as you notice the nose is off a 96 model and price reflected that I guess.178,000kms and everything works...
Pics of the way it looked we we brought home.Got a wash and some stickers...
He said its too white and I agreed so I painted the trim and flairs and bumper ends with Krylon plastic paint..
Happy with the way it turned out looks better I think?
Wanted to lift it of coarse and Pecks got me the lift.Only went with 3 inch as this is his DD and weekend wheeler so wanted good road manners and stuff.
The kit...
Jayson called me and said these arms came with kit by mistake but I was happy.X series adjustable arms.Retail alone on these is $179 so ;D!
Won't bore you with too many build pics but sprayed all the bolts ahead of time so things came apart nice. One arm on frame end bolt was siezed in bushing so cut that off but that was the worst on front.
The back went good but run out of time that weekend to get shocks in so she was rough in ass end for a week with the old shocks still in that were to short and had no down travel so bounce bounce!
Sitting with 3 " lift in and 16" rims and small tires...
Found these 31 KM2's that was on budy's yota for one day and lost license so got for a song.Only 200kms on them...
Got some TJ wheels off a friend that were silver in color so bought some Duplicolor Graphite color paint to make rims darker and took a 80 grit flap disk to outer rim edge to clean off clear coat and peeling and they cleaned up nice.Had a bumper here that I used to have on my XJ that has a 2" receiver behind for a recovery point. That got welded to frame and bumper skin bolted on so he can get tugged on if need be... Here's some shots taken this saturday in my driveway of the jeep.
A couple playing shots sunday in the heat to test it out....
He's very happy with his first jeep and is hooked I think already? He better be I put alot onto this the last month.... He hardly drives his 07 colbolt since he got this.... Do you blame him? ;D
