DartJeep -- What brand/kind of plastic dip stuff are you referring to? I have another project that I was thinking that the plastic dip would be great for?

Aaron You can get it at Home Hardware- www.homehardware.ca/en/cat/search/_/N-2pqfZ67l/Ne-67n/Ntk-All_EN?Ntt=plasti%20dipHowever, as soon as I started looking for it, it became roughly equal to hens teeth. If you find some...flat black is what I was looking for... please post up where you got it. ;D

yeah those will be the weekend warriors. I will likely paint the rims with just some black rust paint, nothing too fancy.

you probably already know this... tell me I'm stating the obvious if so...
Them being chrome, it's hard to get paint to stick to it. Etching primer after scuffing them up might do. That's why I was going with the plasti-dip stuff. Might stay on better and be easier to redo. But then, I didn't have the luxury of having the tires off them like you do.
Either way, it'll be interesting to see what you do. I may do the same!

Oh, what is this?!?! Metal Cloak boxes!!!!! This was a VERY long time coming, partially timing related as I ordered in November. Then Metal Cloak was really slow, but in the end Pecks made it all come together! I think my plan will be to paint the inner and outter fender body colour and do the flares black. I have seen some that are completely body colour matched and it looked good but I'd like to keep with the Black/blue/Silver theme that it's got going on now. something I didn't enjoy was how the courier literally just tossed it all into a pile in the middle of the driveway, I was unable to pick it up until lunch time so it sat outside in plain view on a residential street from 9:30 until 12.

Forgot to add I traded a few things with Bubba to get his Synthetic winch line. Needs a bath to get all the crud out, too cold to use the hose though... A little bit of shampoo and conditioner should do the trick (sorry hillary) The end result was a silky smooth winch line ready to be styled for a night out on the town, smelled good too!

my current winch plate already has the hawse style fairlead, although it could use a bit of filing of some of the nicks from the old winch cable.
A drive shaft will be the final piece of the puzzle likely.

Absolutely needs to be smooth like a baby's bottom. Otherwise it will tear your rope up.

Had the Jeep out wheelin' this weekend for the first time since going down to stock height and getting the LTB's from Alan. A few things of note: 1)The Jeep handled like sh*t on road (comparing the ride to my All-Terrains which isn't fair) I had to get under the Jeep at one point to make sure I didn't lose a track bar. 2)The tires worked awesome in the snow and on the rocks!! 3)The new more level control arms made it a breeze to climb that little rock pile, no more jamming the Jeep into things and trying to bump it over 4)I do miss my ground clearance under the belly as I got hung up on a tree, where as before it wouldn't have been a problem. This will be fixed eventually. 5)LTB's may look like they have 30psi in them but don't be fooled! I ran 10 most of the day, probably could have went to 8 with no problems. I ran connected all day as to not put to much stress on my new bumpstops (my shocks) a few minor adjustments when the new fenders go on and she'll be pretty close to where I want it!
