I think the last couple years did, the ones with disc brakes. dad's is the last of the eb's, i'll take a look and see what's under it. i know it's a 44, but don't remember if it's high or low... i think it was the later ones to get the 44 anyway. our parts one had a 30 in it

I thought all the EB's were low pinion

Just have to take the front drive shaft out, and it's ready to lift out.

Got it lifted out today. All the wiring for the engine/trans/starter unplugs from the truck, makes that part easy. Going to be taking the wiring out of the truck too. It's a long trans, but I have the length for it! I'm gong to see if I can get the Dakota rad in the grill shell, put it on the frame, then set the motor in and make some mounts.

Must have been a different year, this is longer than any stock 4.0 setup.
If you use a ZJ trans Dan, it will be shorter.

Are you questioning my ability to use a measuring tape Len? Yes, the V8 is shorter than the 4.0.

Are you questioning my ability to use a measuring tape Len? I have no comment. Out of curiousity, what is the length difference?

My measuring was good, my math not so good yesterday. lol A 4.0 is 4" longer than a 5.2, from fan to back of the block. This trans is 6" longer than an AX15, so overall the difference is only 2". Had some time this afternoon to get it set in place. Might be able to get motor mounts made tomorrow.
