Just did some measuring and the 5.9 with the tranny from pulleys to rear of trans is pretty well the same as TJ 4.0 NV3550 combo.Gonna start the wire mating tommorow and get the engine bay wiring completed.Plans now 1 battery up front 1 in the back with a Air Tank mount for high lift spare driveshafts and spot for recovery gear and tools all bolted down in the back under tonneau cover.

well today was so nice out i decided to start getting the tub ready for the swap and got everything out ready to pull it off.next weekend sand blast the frame and the following weekend we will be mounting the motor in

Tub is now off and its a rolling chasis . The frame is actually in better shape then I thought.Stoped at a car wash and sprayed all the mud off It and sunday ill start sandblasting the frame

Yup, jan is right. Silica dust is extremely sharp and will loterally cut your windpipe and lungs, causing scarring that will peranently affect your breathng

I think industrial applications require a fresh air supply, hosed into your helmet. Its serious stuff!
