For balljoint s you want Carli's.http://www.carlisuspension.com/dodge-ram/ball-joints/index.html. You may also want to install the 2008.5 steering upgrade, well worth the money. You can get this through the local dealer. klmperformance.com/mopar/mopar-dodge-ram-steering-upgrade-kit.html. Thuren Fabrication is worth a look too. www.thurenfabrication.comYou also want a 2 micron fuel filter kit between the factory filter and the CP3, Glacier Diesel sells a Big Line kit. Bosch recommends 2 mic filtration, factory is only 5 mic. Reman CP3 from Stairs Diesel is $1000 plus core charge. www.glacierdieselpower.com/dept.aspx?dept_id=08-002. If your headlights and running lights start to act strange, check the fuse box for corrosion, if there is green stuff growing inside the fuse box, its time for a new one. The universal joint in the steering shaft is known to get sloppy, Genos is a great place to shop. www.genosgarage.com

.....and.......
Still deathwobbles.
Doing 60-70 up my street, hit some crumbled-up frost potholes and she took to a deathwobble. Pathetic.
Turned around, threw it back in the yard in disgust, hopped in the stupid reliable cheap Hyundai, and drove to work in no style and little comfort. Fawk sakes.

Let's see if I can shorten it a bit. I bought the truck off kijiji almost 5 years ago from a place in Quebec. Took the truck for a drive, felt good, bought the truck. The lamp out light was on, figured it just needed a new bulb. Noticed that only 1 headlight worked at a time. High worked on the right, low on the left, same with the tail lights, only running lights on the right, break light on the left. Just before I got to the New Brunswick border it started to rain, after about an hour it started to miss, then quit. 2am, northern NB, pouring rain, get out lift the hood, all seems fine, open the fuel drain, nothing. Leave drain open, try to start, no fuel, figures. Call CAA, truck shows up 2 hours later, takes me to the nearest dealer. 0700 comes around, service guy comes in, I follow him in, explain my situation. They get me in just before lunch. As they were discussing the fuel issue they said, maybe we check the fuse box, they took mine out and plugged in their test unit. All my lights came to life! They showed me the inside of the fuse box, you could see some of that nice green corrosion under a couple of the relays. They said its a common problem with dodge. They gave me their test unit.
Now for the fuel issue. The problem was my in tank fuel pump stopped working. They thought it was just worn out, replacement pump wouldn't be in until the next morning, night in hotel. Next morning 2 pumps arrive, service guy let's be help the mechanic, great guy, 67 years old. First pump didn't have any pressure on the discharge side, tested with press gauge. 2 ns pump worked. Installed in tank, plugged wires into pump and nothing. Put test light on wires, we have power. Mechanic calls Windsor Ont. they say, are you seeing 12 volts at the pump. We test, no only 7 volts. Windsor says, if the pump doesn't see 12 volts it won't start, hence you have no fuel. Check the plugs in the harness for a bad ground or a broken wire. Harness is good, however, behind the plastic fender liner at the forward end of the cab there are 2 harness plugs. One of them has the wire for the fuel pump in it, among other wires. The ground pin was very corroded. The ground was bypassed, soldered and shrink wrapped. Hit the key and fuel was spraying everywhere! I'd like yo know, why on earth, an engineer would think that putting a harness plug directly in line with the water spray etc from a front wheel was a good idea!
so there ya go, long story short, if your lights start acting strange check the fuse box. If you're truck dies and there is no fuel to the filter, check to see if you have 12 volts at the in tank pump, if not, check the harness and the harness plugs.
any other trouble with your truck let me know as I've probably had the same trouble!

Jan You have a stubborn one, did the alignment shop print you a detail? You could try upgrading your steering to the 08-present inverted T linkage. Did you replace the control arm bushings? Does it have a leveling kit? 08 to present PN's Mopar Pitam arm 68039930AA T linkage 52122370AB Fasteners 6502697 X1 6505623AA X2

Stubborn, yeah thats a good way to put it. haha Was just scooting to deliver something and I took the truck so it wasn't sitting too long in the cold not moving.
Didn't align yet, haven't been driving it, was going to get it done soon. I set toe to 0deg, and caster is 5deg after steeringbox work. 70PSI tires.
I have to go over it again now for bad components b4 align. have not actually taken apart track bar and inspected, but it seems ok. going to check that. (for those unfamiliar, its two bushed ends, not the inverted TRE like a TJ/XJ/etc. Its not as much of a common problem as the 2nd gens)
Never replaced any CA bushings, its doesn't clunk at all, any direction. arms look good shape. no level kit I'm aware of. whats it look like? coil spacer?

level kits are either coils or spacers.
