Jan, Take a look at your steering linkage. Did you happen to check if yours was recalled as they had a recall on 2003+ 2500/3500 trucks for it. Recall Press releaseThis was from November and says that trucks were recalled for 2500/3500 2003-2008 ... This recall is nothing new. My '07 1500 Megacab got "fixed" from this same recall, even though it clearly wasn't the recalled assemblies, back in 2008 or 2009 before I got my Jeep.

Most likely a spacer, I ask because those trucks like at least 1" of rake, does it sit level or worse low in the rear? The factory likes 3" of rake for load carrying, to prevent the front from becoming light and causing handling issues, like DW.

Its been commented by owners of other similar trucks that it sits up pretty high in the front for no lift. Rake - It sits a tiny bit low in rear w no load.
weight and towing don't change the rake hardly at all, the ass doesn't squat down or anything. my trailer is pretty neutral on tongue weight, it doesn't need much to handle good. but that's beside the point, the problems are running empty.
Eastcoastcam - steering has all been replaced w new moog stuff when I bought truck. I did the work. on the 3rd pitman now. I'm aware of the recall stuff. I don't think it applies to my situation, its no longer factory parts.

yup, gotcha. its nose-high unloaded. Didn't mean to sound snarky, all I meant was the wobble is happening unloaded so tongue weight isn't a factor.

So it kinda sounds like that the caster is off , when the rake is gone . what a picky old bitch

Waiting for spring, I'm not driving it, didn't plan to drive it much in the winter anyway.
It needs to go back on the lift, get components checked over, then an alignment.
Then see where I'm at.
I have had it out since the wobble after the steerbox replacement and brace, it hasn't done it again. Sometimes I need to pick up steel with it, I just drive carefully in low traffic until I can work on it some more.

Front shocks have finally solved the problem. After all the steerbox work, I thought it deathwobbled going up my road over potholes. So I gave up for most of winter, drove my car liked I planned anyway.
But I've been using the Ram again, and testing and driving. Got it to 'deathwobble' a few times, but it was not in the steering, it was up/down tires bouncing. Bought some nice Bilsteins from CVO and its flying right over the expansion joints now. lol
Also lowered the tire pressure from 70 to 50 and it feels a lot better on the bumps.
I still want to do the 2008.5 steer upgrade, its a bit twitchy, but its bad design, not bad parts. Doing little things, prepping for tow season. I'll get some pics up this week.

Never relly got rid of the wobble 100%, I put the cheapest wheelbearings I could find on it, and the steering stabilizer might have been a shock. This stuff is the size of a TJ, it sucks. Mopar parts. wheelbearing for driver side and the '08 steering upgrade. Skyjacker stabilizer from CVO too. Had it aligned at Sackville Tire twice and it was pretty good off my string job both times. Rescued this guy from garbage when test driving. Wobble seems gone now. Towed the camper to Valley and put about 1500kms on it, feels pretty good.

The Snowman handle is running beer from Texarkana. Jeez, just got trapped watching Smokey and the Bandit clips for an hour. At least is raining out.

If you don't mind me asking, what did the steering upgrade kit run you? Thanks

Dart Dodge, in stock.
I got a discount thru knowing some people, so don't demand the same price if you can't get it.
steering 52122362AL list $473.00, I got it for $379+57tax = $435.85. Plus an aftermarket steering stabilizer and alignment adds $200ish.
Dealer wheelbearing was a wallet-trouncing $486 discounted to $389 worked out to $447.35 tax in. And they had to order it in, took a few days.
I could only afford to do one wheelbearing, the other side is Ok for now but I expect failure at any time.
I put about 2000kms on the rig (1/2 towing/half commuting) since throwing parts at it, can hammer expansion joints and potholes now, it doesn't feel like it wants to kill you. no deathwobble at all, no hint of it like there always was before these parts.
Biggest thing might have been the steer stabilizer. The one I took off (that was only a few months old) might have been a shock, it wasn't doing shit laying sideways. It was purchased from a disorganized rack of new parts, I didn't actually know what it was. Seemed to work at first, but was toast when I took it off.
