Yup, was just a little bit short, so got 4 more yards and poured most of it in the barn.

I foresee a lot of tripping and falling on your face Alan... lol the step into the big door is just the wrong size.
looks good, I'm glad to see people using the little concrete guys still.

That step up will get a ramp!
Had some rain pass through late yesterday afternoon, but a neighbor had dropped by earlier to offer a big tarp, so we got that and covered it (it was a perfect fit!). Troweling started in the evening and was done sometime in the night. They recovered it and we took it off after the heavy rain was done this afternoon, looks great!

First thing on it, Jeep parts! Front axle out of my TJ going into the ZJ, knuckle not bent and 4.11 gears. Getting fill tonight or in the morning so we can drive in and out of the shop again.

big thick slab looks excellent. the only thing is you put insulation and tubing for infloor heat.. I'm guessing you are going to insulate the outter perimiter of the slab too so you dont loose heat from the sides.. if not, you will loose and waste alot of heat..

Yes, outside is getting a layer of foam before back filling.

My attatched garage sweats and moulds (without the dehumidifyer) in the winter. I'm guessing because the outside of the slab isn't insulated, so the cold meets the hot floor and sweats. That and it's airtight with no circulation. How much does a yard of cement go for? I'd love to guestimate how much my driveway would cost to cover. Looks great Alan! I'm very jealous.

Yes, outside is getting a layer of foam before back filling. 2 ft down and 2 ft out = 4 ft frost line
