I cut them with a jig saw with a 6tpi blade, no melting or chipped paint. Brakes are still getting the better of all of us. Ive bled the like 40 times, bench bled the master, then swaped the master, replaced all four calipers and the pedal still goes to the floor. Oh and have used the scan tool to cycle the abs a couple dozen times. Not impressed

Are you keeping your foot on the pedal when you cycle the ABS? Was the trick with mine in the end.

I've done a little research on the whole 40s business and from what I've found online a lot of people swap out for bigger rotors. the larger tires are really hard to stop. Even some people that daily drive 37s swap for bigger rotors. Taraflex makes a big brake kit for the jk but i don't know if its worth the coin to get it from there or swap in rotors meant for a larger rig. You might have done everything you can and will just nee dot be really careful with speed. my 2cents. hopefully you get it figured out and we can see it ant next months run

You are right to ask the question, but you must have missed its got Dodge Powerwagon axles. The brakes are same a 1ton Cummins.
No problemo!

I was looking it over at CVO yesterday. There are a few things underneath I would have done different, but all in all, it looks good. Tidy up that pitman swing clearance before getting it out on the road, it looks hack. Plans to swap out the Dodge steering links? I'm not a fan of the setup on my '04 Dodge. Seems to wear really quick and prone to deathwobble. The overall look is FANTASTIC in person. Congrats!

I believe the (t style) steering came on 05 and up dodges?. Im going to run it for now and see how it holds up. Yeah the pitman arm clearance was an oversight on my behalf, they clearanced it at cvo just to let it turn lock to lock. I will have to do something with it once its home. What would you do differant jan? My first time doing links and such so advise would be nice.

If the pedal is cycling a to the floor usually that means the master is too small. Try to fit the one from the Dodge the axles came from. If the bolt spread is the same it may just be a bolt on. JK looks nice Why not delete the ABS module?

I thought the same thing but also thought I would have a soft pedal if I had to much vacuum. I closed off the vacuum line going to the booster some and bamm awesome brakes. The scan tool says im running 16lbs of vacuum at my booster. I didnt fix the problem but I know what to look at next.

It was bled with it off as the scan tool requested. Ive heard of people running the vehicle while bleeding but I've never tryed.
