mimages.homedns.org/hooks.gifThis is what Liberty (KJ) tow hooks look like, very similar to the ones on my WK. I guess since they aren't built like a Wrangler, they need the plates for attachment. It looks like either a dealer, junk yard, or eBay.

Grabbed a tow hook yesterday from princess Auto, can't make use of existing holes in end of frame rail as the spacing is different, the hook doesn't sit in a spot you can actually use it either... tempted to put it in the bumper rebar near the frame rail (Jeep isn't going to see serious offroading, just muddy fields and snow banks...)

There is 3 bolt involve to put those in, my understanding is they are all needed to lower the load on the frame by dispersing it. Think unibody.

Probably have to, however it shouldn't be too hard to make a plate for the factory placement.

No worries sharing info is what it's about. a plate is a very good idea, you can borrow one of my tow hook to make a template.
