Hi, I am considering selling my 1987 Jeep cherokee cheif I've spent numerous hours and dollars fixing it and slowly building it up but I've hit a snag with it and I'm just fed up with trying to figure it out. Plus I'd rather a newer cherokee.
Some of the specs are:
4.0L renix
BA10 5spd manual
Dana 30 front axle
Dana 35 rear axle
3:07 gears
and a NP231 transfer-case.
Some of things I've replaced:
Coil
Crank position sensor
Plugs
Wires
cap
rotor
Ignition coil
All the battery cables and ground wires
Brake pads
Rotors
Muffler [ Flowmaster 40 ]
Converted it to a open style cooling system with a new radiator
Throttle position sensor
Idle air control valve
Injectors
Fuel pump
Air,fuel,and fuel tank filters
Wheel bearings
All the tierods
Drag link
And I've re-filled all the fluids with new ones.
Also the jeep comes with a nice sound system that consists of:
JVC mp3 CD player with Aux port.
two 12" Kenwood tornados
800 Watt Kenwood amp
and 80Watt Kenwood speakers
The system is pretty baisic but it pounds hard if you want it to, or it can be set to just sound nice.
The MVI is up at the end of the month and to pass again it would need:
the rear left shock
a hole in the exhaust pipe fixed
brakes bled [little bit of air in them]
and a patch in the passenger side rocker
*Tires and rims do not go with the jeep but will come with a set of Offroad rims and 30" tires. you must also supply your own battery*
And as I mentioned in the top of the post it has a slight problem which is a random sputter under load. I was told it could just be a loose wire, but I've lost all emphasis to work on it now.
I'm looking to get $2000 for it due to the time and parts I have into it. I'd love to keep it and fix it, but I just cant figure out whats wrong with it for the life of me, and renix parts are too hard to find in sydey.
