I just figured I would let people know that there are a couple of us in Springhill/Amherst area who are out wheeling almost every weekend (Sundays only during hunting season) and always welcome other wheelers to join us.
The trails we wheel are not really "stock friendly", I recommend 33's and the ability to disconnect your front sway bar with expectations of the odd tug or winching. Properly mounted tow hooks are a must!
If you are interested in joining us you are best to contact me on Facebook (link in my signature) or email me at 4x4play AT gmail DOT com, I am not on the board that often and would hate to miss your message whereas my email and FB is checked regularly throughout the day.
Happy wheeling! Jeff

I figured I would also put out an invite for anyone interested in wheeling up here Boxing Day. Boxing Day has always been a wheeling tradition for me as long as I have had a Jeep. Details will follow closer to the date but usually we meet around 10 am December 26th ... I try to cut the amount of Jeeps off at 10. (at the moment that leaves room for 7 Jeeps) Jeeps must be on 33" tires or bigger, disconnected sway bars, proper tow points and airing down to 12 psi or lower will be a must due to the usual amount of snow we get up here. I am hoping praying doing a snow dance for a shitload of snow by then. Cheers! Jeff (<-- I love that I have my own smiley icon..LOL)

Oh man, my 32s only go down to 13 LOL Haha sorry Larry, you can't wheel with us!! LOL Exceptions are always made, experience can always rule over modifications But you would probably have a hard time, there are lots of spots where you need good articulation or lockers as we cross a lot of sideways skidder ruts. I would always be happy to have you wheeling with us Larry! Tyler, it would be great to have ya join us but best wait till we have a few feet on the ground, without the snow these trails are pretty mild. Cheers! Jeff

Count me in Jeff if there is big snow. If not I will make the trip when there is snow.

I'll probably have to go as well. Not on Boxing Day, but maybe closer to New Years? Especially if you have big snow.
I don't have a plate for the JK (its on the Tundra now) but I can trailer it up.

31's will be fine Wade, we have a guy who's been bringing his stock ZJ on 31's and has been doing well, he's a really good driver but he needs a tug or winch now and then...that was before we had three feet of snow though. My Jeep is down for a week or two till I get a new RCV shaft and get it in... Even till I get my Jeep back I'll be riding shotgun with one of the guys so we'll still be out every weekend and BOXING DAY! Cheers!! Jeff

Just wanted to let people know that with the little amount of snow we have, 31's and the ability to disconnect sway bar is sufficient to join us on our Boxing Day run. We have a couple Jeeps coming from PEI, one from HRM, a potential one or two from Truro and a few locals. Merry Christmas! Jeff

Too frikken much man...we lost at least 8 inches of snow... For the amount of vehicles and lack of snow, we would make easy work of Purgatory so I was thinking maybe the same trail as last year, except going back out the same way we went in...Whatcha think??
