Through a RC 3" lift in a freinds wifes KJ today for her she has wanted it lifted for sometime now.Pecks sent the kit up to my work yesterday and it went in this afternoon.
Before shot in my yard 2004 Columbia addition KJ with new rockers, oil pan, upper ball joints, front and rear brakes and rotors and rear lower control arms (arms are a dealer recall) very nice shape and looks good stock!
The bolts have been sprayed a fews time in last couple weeks while waiting on lift to come. This makes stuff coming apart much easier and having front end work done recently too! Upper ball joint nut has to be removed, strut mount at A arm, swaybar links and Cam bolts need to be turned to push A arm outward. This was our only issue the Cam bolts were seized and had to mess with them some slowing down reassembly. You will not get spacer in and put back together without the Cambolts being free.
Pic on aluminum spacer in...
Pic with my 32" Cooper off our LJ 15 x 8 with 3.5 BS installed on Libby. They rub badly at front and back of flair at partial turn and would do alot of damage. He has D window steelies bought 15 x 7 with 4" backspace. They should be ok but his 32" KM2's will not. There brand new and would be interested in trade for new 31"'s?Anyone!
Back end takes 15mins per side very easy unbolt shocks, sway bar links and pop out the old coils install the new ones very easy!Tighten shit up and move on!
Pics outside after we took it for a prerun.Drives good I though exspected it to be rougher as the front is maxed out with the spacers but it was pretty good!
Went pretty good we were at it probably 4hrs backend in no time ,front because of having to adjust camber and free stuff more time. Will post up when he gets the wheels sorted out that will make the jeep with some "big skins" on it.....
