Good bye old Jeep. I'm not sure what I pictured, but I may have to go watch stuff at the scrap yard, that looks cool!

It's definitely sad. It was my first Jeep so it was where I acquired my Jeep obsession. I learned to weld when I did the floor in it. First Jeep Jam with it. All good memories and I wasn't done with it but someone needed it more I guess. Trailer stealin' ain't easy yo.

I spent the day finishing up a bunch of little stuff today . Got the front wipers working , replaced both the wiper motor and the wiper control switch on the steering column . It starts now , and idles when cold . I got the Overdrive working , It turns out that the crank position sensor , and one of the sensors on the throttle body ( swapped the whole thing over ) fixed it and cleared all the codes . No real pics , its back on the hoist as I start the flares and rockers Here is the remote start control box Chris , so you can see if you can get a fob for it

Sorry to hear about your XJ being stolen, bastards! I saw the one you bought on Kijiji but just missed out on it. Glad to see it went to a good home. Good luck on the project.

Now , time to get into the meat & potatoes of the build , Rockers , misc metal repair ON the hoist , took the bumpers , flares and trim off I had to partially instal the Flat fender flares , so I knew where to cut , and where to stop the HD rockers I have to get the dent out of the fender and door , before I can start the rockers Trimmed up The instructions say to leave the sliced metal , and bend it in ( I am not sure why , Might be to keep the fender ridged ) More rust Pass side rear wheel well , it needs some repair Pass side rear quarter panel Drivers side rear quarter panel ( I would like to remove this completely , but they are needed for the new flares Inner and outer is gone This needs to be sliced and bent over as well Rocker shots Gross !! Gonna fix the rear quarter panels tomorrow and any other rusty spot , and fix the door / fender . Then I will be ready for the rockers

I do believe you can get replacement bottoms for the rear section behind the wheel on the quarters. Replaces up to the body line iirc. APJ can order them in. Lots of work but should be nice when done!

rocker cut-outs are good looking. Should be easy to work with the remainder. too bad you can't cut those rear fenders off at the body line. Makes for a nicer back bumper setup that way too. I'd consider cutting the flares.
