got water in the trans. What's the best way to fix this problem? I've done a simple flush and also dropped the pan changed filter and fluilds. But still having problems. Plan on dropping the pan agian and changing the filter and fluid again. Am I on the right path and also what is a good trans fluid and any recommended additives? Thanks for any help. 2002 TJ Sport 6cyl auto trans

You could try taking your jeep to a shop that can flush all the fluid in your transmission. When you change your filter and the oil in the pan, you have only changed the oil in the pan. I can't say that it will work, it's just an idea. You could also try calling a transmission shop, they may have a better idea.
Best of luck

That's what I was trying to describe. Flush with a 20L pail, cooler supply line into the new pail. all fresh fluid runs thru trans, flushes out all old into waste pail. Waste pail would still be fine to t-cases or other 'rough' uses. See here - nsjc.proboards.com/thread/46506/water-trans-02-tjthis thread will be locked (double post) Use the one in the link.
