Nope this build is all me, in my shop.
Shawn is back working out in Fort Mac these days. I wish I had his expertise a little closer but if I did, I probably wouldn't learn as much as I will by figuring stuff out on my own. Besides. ..he's on speed dial.

Bolt bin! Invest in a well stocked bolt bin. Saves going to Canadian Tire... leaving with nothing... then trying to get to Burnside during business hours...

I have 3 grinders already, 2 x 4.5's, and a 5". But I do need to make a Princess Auto run for assorted angle finders and stuff. I want to buy a chop saw as well.
As for color, I think it will be orange. Colleen says orange, and since orange is a hell of a lot easier to change to from yellow, than blue from yellow, it will probably be orange. Like Cookie Monster's jeep. I have a black grill for it, and I would like to keep the grill black. So it will be a black/orange theme.

Love Black/Orange theme colors. Definitely going to be a rig and a half when done.

Good looking build. I hope you drive like your brother does, or at least let him drive.

With good parts and a body and frame with no rust it should be a good build. Start welding random shit together to get a good feel for the welder before you build anything for the jeep. You have many knowledgeable people on your phone and on here. Ask questions and lots of them.

Well the parts are officially on their way to a new home. Start building Steve, can't wait to see the build.

Frame is in the garage, up on jack stands, and all the old suspension and exhaust has been removed. It's a 100% bare frame right now. Today I will be cutting off all the old control arm brackets, shock brackets, and trackbar brackets.
I have a few pics and will take some more of today's progress, will post them tonight or tomorrow.

Got it started this weekend. Frame in the garage and up on jack stands. An hour and a bit later, all the stock suspension and exhaust is off. Yesterday afternoon, I cut all the old brackets off with the plasma. That was the first rough cut of getting the brackets off. I'm ready for a second round with the plasma cutter to get as much of the old brackets off as I can, and then spending some time with the grinder to get those areas smooth. Very soon, it will be time to start attaching 4 link and housings. Probably by the time I have the 4 link fabbed up, my 16" remote res Profender coilovers will be here.
