Has anyone had a problem with oil leaking out of back of motor? Oil is running down side of motor from about halfway up on passenger side, between motor and transmission. I have heard that it could be the rear main seal and that is what I am finding online too. Just wondering if anyone local has had this problem.

Are you talking about the pentastar engine in the '12-current jk's? should be covered under warranty.

No modern engine should be leaking oil unless something is wrong... take it into the dealer.

Might have to take it to another dealer, sounds like this one doesn't want to do the work.

I had received that recall the end of last year, and I've had mine fixed for a while now. My dealer (Connells) brought the part up from the states, but swapped it over in a matter of an hour or so,nothing major, my winch was a little in the way a bit, if it wasn't for that it wouldn't have taken that long. So if you haven't got a call saying come in and have it fixed, check with your dealer and see if they can order the part in.

I think that is only for the auto trans, I have a manual, it looks like it is the rear main seal just not 100% sure!. Got it booked in for Friday to have it looked at again
