Are there any slower, more technical trails in the HRM area?
I really enjoyed hard and soft and was wondering if there are any similar trails close to the city?

Where is curse? What sort of rig do you need to do it?
Rock rails are my next upgrade

Lol I just checked it out, don't think I'll be squeezing my brand new jeep through the crack any time soon. Are there any other trails similar in difficulty to hard and soft?

The alternate route through the range has some gnarly hard and soft like sections. The two hill climbs are pretty twisted. One of the powerlines in Refrew gets pretty rough as well, it's not technically HRM, but it's close.

I've heard it's off limits, I've heard it's not. All I can say for sure is a lot of people still play around up there.

Maybe one of the trailmasters can clear this up. I have never been in there but have been curious.

The big gate and no trespassing signs on the Bedford highway are a pretty firm indication. And the gate on Lucasville that was dug out of the bushes, rebuilt and locked as well. Both can be seen on google map street view. The gates and signs are there, so you CAN be charged. There have been threads on there about enforcement officers up there asking people to leave, but no charges. The Sackville River Assoc. has something to do with it. It is not OK to drive up the dirt hill around the gate. That is irresponsible land usage and bad for the hobby. And it is so highly visible its not funny. I hope no one is running club stickers up there. Some sack river eco nut could take your pic. nsjc.proboards.com/thread/38460/pulled-over-inside-rangeAll the information in this thread still stands. With the addition of the Lucasville Rd gate being rebuilt.

Thanks for clearing this up Jan. I read a post you made some time ago about gates and do not enter signs. Any blocked entrance is a strong indication to STAY OUT. Also good that this type of thread comes up once in a while as there are always new people on here.

The provincial land use laws are really quite simple.
No gate, open gate, or no sign = you can run the trail. Permission is implied without contacting landowner.
Gate closed, or a sign = no permission. You can be charged with trespassing.
