What are you all running for tires on your car haulers? Actual trailer tires or just plain passenger/light truck at high pressure?

For inspection you have to have trailer tires.

It doesn't say anything in the MVI manual about having to be trailer tires. See page 100. www.novascotia.ca/snsmr/rmv/inspection/inspection_manual.pdfIt says to reject IF: g) different size tires on same axle. Tires not all of the same type radial or bias k) total tire weight rating not equal to or greater than registered weight of trailer I couldn't find any mention of trailer type tires. The weight rating of the tire you plan to use will be on the sidewall somewhere listed as x lbs at y psi. Make sure the weight on the tire is greater than the gross registered weight of the trailer.

Interesting, I know people that have had trailers fail without trailer tires, and people being told same by compliance. I wonder if its somewhere else, or just another one of those things being enforced without a regulation to back it up.

There really shouldn't be any of those things, should there? just another one of those things being enforced without a regulation to back it up.
