I guess you having 33's with no flex is still not as good as stock jeep??? Any car that gets good mileage is fine with me, Prius or not as long as I can pass a gas station for a change I'll take it lol!
Derek, 99% of the time DW is a steering component but with all mine eliminated and the only thing left that is out of whack as far as stock angles is the caster, which is what the adj control arms will hopefully fix. God I hope so, I don't want to have to scrap this whole build and move on to something else. The last thing I want to do is listen to my wife tell me I wasted my time and money on a project that went tits up lol!

lol, I wasn't trying to start a "my tires are bigger" argument. You should look into the beads as an alternative to weights. My 33's have no vibration at highway speeds. I don't have to worry about throwing a weight and if a lug gets chewed on the trail, the tires will self balance again on the road.

I've always found this concept interesting - you say you just used airsoft beads? how many per wheel?

It's done by weight. There is a chart online that tells you how much for each wheel based on size. I found the chart on a ceramic bead site, Dynabeads IIRC. I'll have to check after work. It doing this make sure to use the solid beads, not hollow. There are some other effects as well. You can hear them rolling in the tire until about 40km/hr and when you stop it sounds like air brakes are being dumped but not as loud. Found it Dynabeads chart

Found a video that you can hear the beads fall. it's at the 9-10 second mark of this short vid; it's the "woosh" sound that you hear.

Today I finally got my adjustable lower control arms from Peck's. Got the lift in with the new arms and set my Caster at 7.2 degress, as close to factory as I can get. doesn't seem to allow me to go any lower unless I remove the lock nuts from the arms. pretty much out of threads to go any lower degrees. Every full revolution is about 1/2 a degree. I will let you all know how it runs, but for now going around the block the steering feels much better and no death wobble. Will probably have to play with it a 1/2 a degree at a time to get it tuned in right. Next on the list it bump stop extensions so I can go on our next run this Saturday, been a while since I was out wheeling. Can't wait. Aaron

Well, I mean you'd have to peel me from humping your fenders if they were DC2 but the classic M/T can't be beat either.

So the new arms did help with the steering issue once the lift was in and it drives much better. I did hit DW once so far after our run on Sat, but a loose control arm bolt along with play in the steering box contributed to it. I tightened those up and it went away. Feels and drives well right now. I think getting it back to 7 degrees made all the difference in the DW cure. Also I plated the lower trackbar bracket with 3/16" plate and drilled the hole out to 1/2" now as well.
Flexed it out some on Saturday during our "Stock" run and the rear tires are coming into contact with the rear bumper and tops of the rear wheel lip edges. The front has tons of room for movement. The rig worked well off road and I really enjoyed getting back out with the club on a run.

Well I spoke to soon I hit DW tonight on the hi-way. was doing probably close to 90Kph when I was slowing down to turn off at my exit. I hit the last expansion joint on the bridge and I suddenly had a come-to-Jesus moment! Should i replace the factory press in rubber bushings (That are new) with stiffer poly bushings? I know they will wear quicker but maybe they will not transfer as much vibes/play thru the track bar? I really need to figure this out ASAP. I have no issues under 80Kph no matter how rough of a road I go on. Since the new adjustable lower control arms have been installed and set at 7 degrees, I have a factory-like steering. Feels solid and smooth. Any thoughts on this is more than welcome... Thx Aaron

Have you checked the play in the actual steering box itself? If it is loose, you can tighten it with the adjuster on the top of the box. I haven't had actual DW in my TJ, but when the box gets worn a bit and the play in the box increases, I get a vibration and tire shake in the front end that goes away when I adjust the steering box and tighten it back up. Seems like the box is not controlling the motion of the front tires, and it is worse after a bump in the road.
Might not be the cause of your DW, but would not hurt to check, and at least eliminate it.
