Well what can I say, other than where did this past year go. As always, it is that time of year for our AGM. So, there will be a few changes for this years event, as a result of talking to the general membership here in Halifax. As we all know from years past we have always had our AGM the same day as our monthly club run. Well this made it difficult, if not almost impossible for some to attend the AGM after a long day on the trail. Well this year we have changed things up. We will be holding the AGM the evening before the monthly club run. This way we feel it will be easier for people to attend the AGM and not feel rushed on the trail like in years past. The venue for the AGM has also been changed for this year. This was decided for one simple reason. People felt the old location at the Tantallon arena, although appreciated by Luc for getting this location seemed out of the way for many traveling from other areas of the HRM. So once again we listened, and this years AGM will be heading to the darkside. Yes, we are heading on over to Dartmouth for the AGM. Donnie has been able to offer a space at his place of employment, this is also free of charge to the club.
So lets get the ball rolling here. We are doing the same as years past, and all the food will be potluck style. Please post up if you are coming and what dish you will be bringing so others can decide on what to make. There is no stove available, so if you need to keep something warm you may want to keep it in a warmer or slow cooker. The club will be providing all pop, water, juices along with plates, forks , knives and so on. PLEASE POST UP HERE, if you will be coming so we can judge the amount to purchase. Also we WILL BE COLLECTING TOYS for the Q104 TOY DRIVE this same evening and during all club runs from now until Dec 4th.
There will be prizes, awards, and year in review and last but not least elections. Please visit the Halifax executives nominations posting for more info. Remember people, this is our club, and members from the valley and North nova are welcome to join us for the evening. Here is the information on location and time.
