Ok. I think I looked at it before xmas. If it's the same one, the windshield frame is toast along with front fenders. I was ok with that stuff as I was expecting it. Once I lifted the carpets I was out. Floors were quite poor. I felt really bad. My plan was to buy it and drive back to CB that day, even had my plate with me. I didnt even make an offer.

When I lifted the carpet, there was definitely rust, but they seemed solid. I knocked on them, and tapped pretty hard with my key, and they didn't seem soft. With any luck, I'll be getting it before the weekend. I do want to check it over again, and hopefully it'll be warmer than -11 when I do. I want to check to make sure the oil looks OK, and see if the heater core is leaking.

I was supposed to pick it up last night, but she ended up taking it to the shop (APJ's I believe) to check on the leak. Turns out the new water pump was leaking, so it's getting replaced. If all goes well, I'll be getting it Monday night.

When I ran the VIN, it showed that it had been replaced. Is it a reoccurring problem, or was it a one off issue?

My understanding is that they just put a new one in and never fixed the problem with it....... Best to pull it when you get it and see if the gear is worn. also see if you can get some light down to see where the OPDA and cam mate and see if there is wear on the cam. You can buy an aftermarket one that has fixed the problem. www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B009AA9O9Y?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00
