I saw many questions online regarding the feasibility of bolting on factory JK shocks to TJs. A couple people did it, so I thought I would give it a try. Got my hands on a set of JK rubicon shocks that were laying around. Come to find out they are exactly the length needed for 3-4" of lift on a TJ. I had my hesitations due to the fact that JKs are obviously bigger and heavier than TJs. However, after installing the four shocks they ride incredibly smooth. so smooth in fact, I have no ambition to pick up any Bilstein or OMEs. Now, they are nearly 100% bolt in. With the exception that you need to save your front lower bar pins, press out the metal sleeve in the front lower JK shocks, and then put in the bar pin. Otherwise, they bolt right in.

So... with my Rubicon these should fit perfectly even though mine is at stock "Rubi" height? If so then thats cool since I am going to need shocks soon.

They're roughly 2.5" longer on both compressed/extended lengths compared to OEM Tj Rubicon shocks, so I wouldn't say they are ideal.

So how would adding a 2inch liftkit spring and jk rubicon shocks to a LJ rubicon go?

So how would adding a 2inch liftkit spring and jk rubicon shocks to a LJ rubicon go? You would be fine for that, just setup your bump stops so the shocks don't bottom out on up travel.
