Well I'm here now! May as well add my 2 cents...
Why even bother changing the gear ratio if you're going to run a rubi case? Just makes either the stock ZJ axles, or swapped in JK axles, that much weaker at the pinion. They ZJ's not really light.. and with a 5.9L I doubt your foot will be either. It'll still be plenty slow in lo range.
Granted, your locker options are limited with the alum D44... but it just seems like a waste of time/money to swap in JK axles, then regear and upgrade them, in addition to fabbing brackets, sourcing different wheels and installation headaches.
I'd be more inclined to truss the D44 (gas tank tuck would help)... lock it, however you see fit... then upgrade the front shafts. Not that expensive and if it doesn't work out, you can always sell the salvageable upgrade parts and move on to bigger axles.

You, me and Larry are redefining cool. LOL I've only got a little 4.0L though, so I'm less cool - maybe if I add some heating vents to the hood, hmmmm And mike n mike at apjs, n arti n ryan at apjs.. Well their tryn to be kool. One mike almost made it with a 5.9...but its a lawn ornament... Da Dogg Smart A$$!! Mines coming along just fine just needed a frame fix
