Hello, and I hope everyone is having the best summer ever. As many of you know, the woods have recently been closed to all travel. This includes hiking, atv's and yes, our jeeps. It is unfortunate but it is a reality of the dry weather that we have been having here in Nova Scotia. Now, having said this, many of you also know that this is one of the busiest summers for off road events. From the Nova Scotia Jeep Jamboree, Pirate Invasion, Wheeling with Friends, Mudd (hosted by Back Country) and our own Wheekend of Wheeling, not counting monthly runs put on by different clubs and ourselves.
Well, I am hoping to answer some ques questions here in regard to the NSJC Wheekend of Wheeling event next weekend. First off, no, this event will NOT be cancelled, and here is our reasoning for this. After discussing it, we felt it would be unfair to change the date to another weekend that somebody else is already holding an event. We only have so many weekends in the summer, and many people here, and in other clubs, have worked very hard to set dates for their events and it is not our intention to conflict with those events.
Second is when the Wheekend of Wheeling takes place, if woods travel is still not permitted, we do have a back up plan for things to do. For those people not camping, we will post a meeting place and you are all still welcome to join in on the fun. Will it be a trail run? If the woods are closed, no. But it will be jeep related, and it will still be a Wheekend to remember. I hope this has answered a couple of the questions that I have been asked, and if you would like to know more, please feel free to post up here or send me a personal message. Until then, happy wheeling everyone, and continue with the rain dances.......

P.S. I would like to also thank all those people out there that have taken the time and effort to organize all these great summer events. We really do have the greatest province in Canada.
