As in past years, the Valley Chapter is hosting a fundraising run to Support Our Troops on Saturday, Nov 12, 2016 (the day after Remembrance Day). All monies raised goes to the Greenwood Military Families Resource Centre. We ask that each person donate a minimum of $5.00 for which you'll receive a magnetic SOT ribbon. In addition, for each $10.00 donation, your name will be entered for draw prizes donated by local businesses. We will also be selling tickets for a 50-50 draw. If you'd like to enter the draws or buy 50-50 but don't think you can attend, no problem. As in the past, you can send me an email transfer (idraft87@gmail.com) and get your tickets. This, as ALL NSJC runs, is open to everyone who drives a Jeep. The trail is 'The Farm', in Bear River. This is a trail that may not be familiar to newer Jeepers, but it is one of the original trails that was used by Jeep Canada during Jeep Jamborees many years ago. Since this is deer season, this trail is ideal for us to run, as it is on the Justason Farm, 6752 Sissiboo Rd., Bear River. This is a 'Stock Doable' trail with off-cambers, steep hills, some very tight spots, and some amazing old-growth forest sections, but nothing that a stock Jeep with good tires and a spotter can't handle. Come fueled up and have some snacks or lunch with you and enjoy the day. Try to arrive by 10:00am as it may take some time to take care of all the ticket sales before we hit the trail.
