Really stumped on this one. Really bad vibration past 60 km/h. Put the tj in 4wd and the vibration almost goes away.Take the front driveshaft out, vibration disappears. so we tried a different front driveshaft and the vibration is back the same as before. took the driveshaft out again and put it in 4wd still no vibration and as far as I know everything should be turning te same as if the driveshaft is in . and pinion bearing is tight , new last year.

Is the pinion angle right? If its lifted with stock arms it can be off.

It has a 2 inch lift but has had it for years and the vibration just started . I think its the output shaft bearing on the transfer case ? I am going to take the driveshaft to PFT to get balanced first. The extra driveshaft I tried was used so not even sure if it was true ?

Are all 3 ujoint AND the center ball/socket good in the driveshafts you are trying? Any one if them being worn will can cause a vibration.

so just put the newly balanced driveshaft in and the vibration is the same . All new u joints and the ball and bearing in the cv joint appear in good condition. starting to get pissed . is the transfer case in the tj chain or gear driven.
