Good morning everyone!
I am looking at purchasing a second jeep and need some advice on what things I should be looking at. A little background, I bought a 2013 JKU Sahara when living out west and fell completely in love with wranglers to the point where I can't imagine myself driving anything else. I did some trails up to a lvl 3 as per your listed trail rating system, afraid to do anything more serious on my own since I didnt have a winch. I ended up selling her in 2018 as I was about to spend two-years outside of Canada, have returned, and I have now started setting up a life here in Nova Scotia. I want to make sure I get the right jeep and I think I will need to get a factory build, so I want to take the time to get this right.
I am looking to do some active trail running and join the NSJC if I am deemed worthy but what I don't know is what kind of trails are out here in Atlantic Canada?
Other than trail running, I would be using the vehicle for:
- Daily commutes (work, groceries)
- Tow a tent trailer/camping
- Trail running in the Atlantic area
- Cruising around with the top off and a dog in the back <3
The more I read going down through the trail ratings, the actual more excited I became.
So, what I am trying to do is decide between a Sahara or a Rubicon, I am sticking with a 4-door. My questions are:
- Which would you recommend? Why?
- What factory provided add-ons would you recommend? Would you recommend I avoid?
- Any advice with getting a factory build?
- What kinds of trails do we have in NS/Atlantic region? Do we have the full range of trails?
- Am I missing anything?
Thank you!
Dan
