Needs is usually a 2 minute drive from my place. So I hopped into my trusty Jeep and headed out into the snow. My road wasnt plowed so I had some fun getting through the snow. ;D The wind made visibility next to nothing, but I made it to Need and got my milk. The trip home was a different matter. Had to stop three times to pull some poor motorists out of the snow banks. Is there anything a Jeep can't do? Except fly. Lee taught me that one!

really Doug... I know what ya mean about poor motorists gettin' stuck on yer road...I called ur place in the mornin' as I was stuck in the ZJ at the end of ur road...ur son said u were in the shower, so I told him to tell u that it was an emergency and that I'm stuck just down the road from ya and gave him my cell #...I waited about 45 minutes, getting out every five minutes to dig by hand till a gentleman came along with a shovel...an hour and fifteen minutes later I was on my way although we had recieved too much snow in that amount of time to get back in my subdivision and had to spend the day and evening in G'wood... the new tires WILL go on the ZJ this week... fozen starter wouldn't let the TJ start and can't bump start the POS in the snow... I can relate, my wife managed to get a ride from Halifax to Tantallon yesterday morning, the kids and I headed out just after 7 to pick her up. Normally it is a 20 minute drive each way, but it took us 2 and a half hours.
Of course, there was one short side trip to resuce a guy in a Hyundai Accent. He had managed to get out of his private road, down the hill only to get the call that his work was closed and couldn't get back up the road. When I found him he had made it around 20 feet up the road, I used the XJ to pack the plow bank down so he could back out. He was going to walk home (said it was only a mile, which in that weather through a foot of snow would have taken him ages). I offered him a ride and got a good chance to test out the MTs on the long uphill (took about 15 minutes to drive it each way). Its a good feeling to help someone out like that.
