Who sold you that crusty looking front axle? ;D Looking good Mat. Did you decided yet what you are going to run for front springs? And whats up with the metal lower dash your building? While you have the truck apart I would consider moving the tank to the rear, just ahead of the last cross member. Fits damn near prefect side ways between the frame rails. Add a couples pieces of small angle iron and you have a higher gas tank. Also gives a lil more rear mounted weight to balance out the truck.
And yes I think we are all a lil jealous of the shop.
Take care, and build away. Tim

I got a line on a complete 85 front with 4" lift springs front and rear so i'd say i'll be using that set up for now, about the front dash.....i had a bunch of 14"x14" S.S. sheets so i decided to make up some kinda dash set up not sure if i'm goin to keep it or pop the other one back in.
i might have trouble moving the tank to where u got yours because my shocks are going to be bolted to the middle support on the deck. I'll have to check it out. Thanks for the completments on the shop....it's the R&D shop where i work adn they give me un-limited access as long as it's clean it up by the next day.

Question for Yotaman. Not having looked at my brothers yota at rear of frame, but do they narrow inwards like your bed is? Reason for asking is that my nissan needs a new box, but i may just build a flat type deck instead. NOt for any amount of wheeling , thats what my jeeps for. More for cargo hauling and parts haling for the heep!
Have any links to pics of different flat bed styles? TIA Justin

TIA Justin do you mean does the frame follow the "deck" lines? if so the answer is no the frame just goes straight back. i just tapered the deck for the tight trails. Chopshop is right just check out the toyota board at pirate4x4.com and type "flatdeck" in the search bar you'll see every kinda design needed. I still got my toyota box if you need a box......it's rough but deffently fixable and Nissan's are the same size as toys.
